These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RideSOS mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), a community emergency alert network for verified riders and drivers operated by RideSOS ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By accessing or using RideSOS, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You must be at least 18 years old to register. Protection Mode and the SOS feature are locked until you submit a selfie, a government-issued ID, and your NBI clearance number, and our team approves your verification. We may reject or revoke verification at our discretion, including if submitted documents appear fraudulent, altered, or do not match.
RideSOS is a community safety network, not a transportation or ride-hailing marketplace. We do not arrange rides, set fares, or process payments between users. The Service lets verified riders opt into "Protection Mode" to be notified of nearby SOS alerts from other verified riders, and lets any verified rider trigger an SOS to alert nearby on-duty riders and share a live location trail during an active incident.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration and verification. Notify us immediately at support@ridesos.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Violation of this section may result in suspension or termination of your account, as described in Section 13.
Enabling Protection Mode is entirely voluntary and does not create an employment, agency, contractor, or dispatch relationship between you, RideSOS, or the rider who triggered the SOS. You decide whether and how to respond to any alert you receive. RideSOS does not guarantee that any on-duty rider will respond to, or successfully reach, a given SOS.
The SOS button, Protection Mode, and live location trail are designed to supplement, not replace, your own judgment and official emergency services.
RideSOS is not a licensed emergency dispatch service and does not itself send police, medical, or fire responders. We do not guarantee that any nearby verified rider is on duty, available, or able to respond, or that a response will occur within any particular time. In a life-threatening emergency, always contact local emergency services directly in addition to using the SOS button.
RideSOS does not charge fares, process payments, or take a commission on any transportation service. The app is free to download and use. We do not mediate, guarantee, or take responsibility for any separate commercial arrangement (such as a ride, delivery, or fare) that may exist between users outside of the Service.
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by RideSOS and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended personal purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, and background location tracking may stop if the operating system terminates the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideSOS and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including any acts or omissions of other riders, responders, or third-party emergency services, or any delay or failure of an alert to reach or be acted on by a nearby rider. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed PHP 5,000.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RideSOS and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, misuses the SOS feature, or poses a safety risk, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quezon City, Philippines, unless otherwise required by applicable local law in your jurisdiction.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
